Rotokawa Joint Venture is equally controlled by Tauhara North No2 Trust and Mighty River Power; we are paving the way for potential 300MW of geothermal development at Rotokawa and Nga Tamariki geothermal fields.

The new power station will be known as Nga Awa Purua power station, the intention is to build it close to the existing 34MW Rotokawa power station on the Trusts land; this would increase generation from the field to approximately 165MW.
