Ché Charteris
I am 30 years-old and of Ngati Tahu descent. Over the past few years I have been looking for an opportunity to use my knowledge and experience to help our people’s growth through good management of our assets, and to learn more about our rohe and history. Having grown up on a farm and working in forestry I have a close attachment to the land. I am interested in learning more about my whakapapa, our rohe, and our people’s history, and making sure that I pass this on as my family grows later in the year. I hope to use my experience dealing with big companies, working in a range of government agencies and knowledge of big infrastructure, alongside my passion for promoting and supporting our people’s growth, to contribute to the work of the Trust, while learning more about myself and where I come from.
