Charitable Company Limited provides education grants to those studying at institutions approved by the Ministry of Education: Secondary School, University, Polytechnic or Wananga.

Purpose

The Charitable Company Limited Trustees recognize the need for an Education Grant Policy to assist the owners and descendants of owners in gaining higher education and tertiary qualifications.

1. Introduction
   1. The Trusts initiatives are distributed under the Maori Community Purposes section 218 of Te Ture Whenua Maori Act 1993.
   2. The Trustees shall set aside funding annually for these initiatives.
2. Criteria
   1. All owners, whanau trusts and their recorded descendants shall be entitled to apply for education grants, provided all requirements have been met in accordance with the RULES as set down by the Trustees.
   2. The amount of the education grant shall be (subject to the Trustees recommendation and owners confirmation)
   3. Grants will be deposited directly to the beneficiaries account at the school / polytechnic / university at the discretion of the trustees.
3. Categories
   • Pre-school, Primary, Intermediate, Secondary, Polytechnic/University
4. Application Form
   1. The Trustees insist that applicants read the application form very carefully.
   2. It is a pre-requisite to complete each associated panel where the * appears on the right hand column.
   3. The application form must be returned on or within the time allowed to be accepted.
   4. Applications received after the closing date will be declared invalid.
